Starting a file garden

File Garden seems to be a decent alternative to Google Drive and Dropbox. It is a file managing and sharing website that emphasizes on simplicity. Although it has a random link redirector and an image corruptor, these additional features will be rarely utilized (at least for me).

I want to use that site to put the following files:

The first half will be unlisted in my directory, while the second half will be accessible to the public. Files outside of those categories will be probably kept in private, if they were ever uploaded there.

While I still want to keep most of my project files within my local storage2, at least I can share some of them without dealing with the corporate cloud storage stuff.

  1. This one is possible (based on my observations on others' personal projects and websites), but it will consume some amounts of bandwidth. So, I would just stick to a regular link to the images instead.

  2. This refer to my devices' internal storage drives, as well as my USB and external hard drive.
